Madalas Akala Natin Exempt—Pero Hindi Na.
- Effective starting March 13, 2025
• Local sales by RBEs (PEZA, BOI, Freeport) are now subject to 12% VAT
• Location doesn’t matter anymore — basta local sale = VATable
• Buyer ang required magbayad at mag-file, not the RBE seller
• Applies to both goods and services sold within the Philippines
• Use BIR Form 1600-VT (for services) or Form 0605 (for goods from ecozones)
• Deadline to file: Every 10th of the month following the transaction
• Invoice must be labeled: “VAT on Local Sales”
• POS or accounting system must be updated by December 31, 2025
Si Ana: A Real-Life Scenario

Akala niya exempt sa VAT.
Walang tamang label ang invoice. Hindi rin siya nag-file.
Resulta? Di niya na-claim ang VAT at na-delay pa ang delivery.
